Original Acrylic 16″ x 20″ on canvas board – Framed
“Be Mine” was the first Hibiscus Bloom I painted. I was in love with this interesting tropical flower and particularly this very pale shade of Pink. My original photo was taken in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and I couldn’t wait to paint it! I didn’t realize at the time, that Hibiscus could be grown right here in Calgary, AB Canada. The following spring I started nurturing my very own Hibiscus blooms, where I could enjoy them every day, and photograph them continuously for future paintings!
